All roles pay $18.00 per hour, 35 hours per week for a total of 14 weeks of employment
Food for Life has a total of 12 opportunities for talent and dedicated youth between the ages of 15 and 30. Employment in the window between May 2022 and August 2022.

About Food For Life
Food for Life Halton & Hamilton is the regional leader in rescuing and distributing GOOD fresh and frozen food. We support the community by providing healthy food to a network of non-profits and partners who offer food support programs. Food for Life is a thought leader in the space, built on a unique supply chain model that is driven by environmental sustainability.
Grocery Packer (8 positions)
The behind-the-scenes hero role at Food for Life means you will be helping sort, source and ready our rescued GOOD food for sharing to community. Your role will involve working in a refrigerated space, lifting up to 40 lbs on occasion, and sorting inedible food for composting. Suited for ages 15-30.
Community Worker (3 positions)
Do you have a background or interest in social work or community engagement? Conducting surveys, asking questions and enjoy interacting with people? Our Community Worker positions are located in Milton, Burlington/Oakville and will be working alongside our Community Managers who are supporting all our Food for Life activities in those regions including supporting our research initiatives, public events and food support programs. Access to a vehicle is important for this role. Suited for ages 18-30.
Marketing Assistant (1 position)-Location Burlington/Remote
Passion about telling and supporting our story of GOOD? This role is perfect for someone with a passion for marketing, social media, website management and public relations. A strong focus on internal communications will be a key project of this role and for the right person a longer-term opportunity may come from this role.

You are comfortable working in a caring environment that involves a combination of in-person and remote work and having the fashion sense of wearing steel-toed safety shoes as required.
You are an active learner with experience in the charitable business sector or similar corporate experience.
You have a Disney-esc in your approach to customer service and strive to deliver a second-to-none experience.
You enjoy getting things done well and on time.
You own your errors and understand and appreciate that failure is a key part of growth and development.
You are resilient and creative in face of challenges and look for opportunities to grow and enhance your skills and share your expertise and knowledge with others.
