How to Donate Food

Help Us Nourish Lives — Donate Surplus Food

At Food for Life, we gratefully accept surplus food donations from farms, companies, and food producers — on a one-time or ongoing basis. Your extra production can make a meaningful difference in the lives of people facing food insecurity, without cost to you.

What We Collect

  • Fresh, frozen, prepared, and raw foods, including meat, produce, dairy, juices, and fully prepared meals.
  • Non-perishable foods, whether canned, boxed, or otherwise packaged.
  • Products nearing best-before dates, overstocked items, discontinued or mislabelled stock, or visually damaged goods — as long as it’s safe and wholesome.

Our Reliable Service

  • We arrange regular or one-off pick-ups from your facility — no delivery or logistics costs for you.
  • Our staff handle, store, and transport all food donations with care and attention to safety and quality.
  • Your products are shipped and distributed in a way that maintains their integrity and nutritional value.
  • You save on waste management and disposal expenses, while making a positive community impact.

Your Protection & Assurance

Donors who give food in good faith are protected under the Donation of Food Act, which helps safeguard against liability when products are donated in compliance with safety standards.
