Bring your team together for a 2–3 hour, hands-on experience rescuing food and impacting lives. Enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of Food for Life’s warehouse, learn about the power of rescued food, and help sort and pack good food to be shared with neighbours and community partners across Halton and Hamilton.
It’s a meaningful way to boost team engagement, fulfill CSR goals, and show your community support in action.
Just a few things you might do:
Fresh Food Sorting and Packaging
Prepare high quality produce for distribution to local programs and agencies
Dry Good Sorting
Help sort incoming donations of dry, non-perishable goods, organizing for distribution to our agency partners and
programs.
Waste and Recycling Management
Support our sustainability efforts by properly sorting food for our triple diversion efforts, people – animals – compost and properly recycling cardboard and plastics.
Team Experiences take place at our warehouse located at 2258 Mountainside Drive in Burlington, with free on-site parking. We host groups on Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday mornings and afternoons, and Thursday mornings, with other times available upon request. The ideal group size is 10–15 participants.
There is a participation fee, which supports the cost of staff, supplies, and moving food throughout the community. A typical donation of $500 for 8–11 people or $1,000 for 12–15 people helps Food for Life rescue up to $71 worth of good food for every $10 donated—creating meaningful impact for our neighbours across Halton and Hamilton.
