Dear friends & neighbours,

We share in the growing concern surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19) across the communities we serve. Our hearts go out to the individuals and families that have been impacted.

At Food for Life, we believe it is our role and responsibility during this time to prioritize the health and well-being of our partners, volunteers and teams, while also playing a constructive role in supporting local health officials and government leaders as they work to contain the virus. We will continue to make decisions that support the safety of our community, guided by our mission and values.

We wanted to provide an update on the actions that Food for Life is taking to help prevent the spread of the virus and support the health and well-being of our partners, friends and neighbours.

Our rigorous cleaning and disinfecting regiments are being elevated. Our volunteers are ensuring hand-washing and proper protocols are being followed.

As of March 17th, some of our programs have closed to protect the volunteers and the neighbours who use them. We are continuing to rescue food and get it to programs that are open. All closures are in listed in the box to the right.

We appreciate your understanding that, as a partner, your Food for Life experience may look different as we navigate through this time together.

We will continue to refer to Public Health and our local leaders as we move through these times.

Food for Life and our community is resilient, we are unwavering in our mission to rescue food, and impact lives. We are privileged to work with you and your community and look forward to seeing you soon.

We thank you for being a part of the GOOD we do.

Changes to food programs will be added to our COVID-19 Program Updates page or you can follow us on Twitter or Facebook.
