It is hard to believe that it was almost 25 years ago that the concept of rescuing and sharing quality surplus food started with the first pick up, and wow have we come a long way together since then.
In 1995 a young Tom Hanks took a lead in the hit movie Apollo 13, Seinfeld and Friends ruled the television screen, and, believe it or not, Amazon sold its first book online.
How far have we come in so many ways, yet poverty and hunger still persist and so long as it does Food for Life will be here.
Rescuing Food. Impacting Lives.
2020 marks our 25th Anniversary. Starting in October we are kicking off the start of our 25th Anniversary by celebrating the past and you can be part of it. We are looking for stories, photos and memorabilia that you may have or want to share with us. Please share your memories by emailing jim@foodforlife.ca.
We have a full plan developing for 2020 and we will be sharing more of this as we head into November and December with so many ways to get involved in your local neighbourhoods.
Everyone is invited and there will be something for everyone!
Together we can make sure none of our neighbours go hungry!
